It refers to the difficulty an individual experiences with the principle of reciprocity\u2014one of the most important criteria for establishing and maintaining communication in the social-emotional domain.  <\/p>&#13;\n<p>Although many individuals with OSB may have advanced learning and functional abilities, some may experience difficulties communicating with others and carrying out activities of daily living.<\/p>&#13;\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Behaviors_Are_Observed_in_Children_with_Autism\"><\/span><strong>What Behaviors Are Observed in Children with Autism?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>&#13;\n<p>Children with autism may be unable to form coherent sentences during conversation. Their difficulties in sharing interest and emotions can lead to challenges in social communication skills. They experience difficulties in verbal and nonverbal communication, making eye contact, and using body language appropriately. Autism is also characterized by repetitive behaviors, interests, and activities that are limited in scope. Stereotyped or repetitive motor behaviors are one example of this. However, children with autism spectrum disorder usually begin to show symptoms of the condition before the age of 2. To diagnose autism, an evaluation is typically conducted by a specialist doctor or psychologist. In the diagnosis of autism, the child\u2019s behavior, speech skills, social interactions, and other developmental characteristics are first observed. This observation process helps the specialist evaluate potential symptoms and characteristics in the child\u2019s development.    <\/p>&#13;\n<p>To diagnose a child with autism, the child must exhibit certain symptoms that have persisted for at least 6 months.
