The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-IV (WISC-IV) is an intelligence test used to measure the mental skills of children between the ages of 6 years 0 months and 16 years 11 months. The test provides clues about the child’s strong and weak mental skills as well as intelligence level. Discovering all the mental abilities in which the child is proficient or lagging behind allows the child to further develop his\/her strong skills or support his\/her weak skills. With the data we obtain as a result of WISC-IV, it is possible to prepare appropriate support programs for weak mental skills that need to be developed without wasting time. <\/p>\n

WISC-IV consists of subtests of 4 mental skills clusters: verbal comprehension, perceptual reasoning, working memory and processing speed. The estimated duration of application varies between 90 and 120 minutes, depending on the child’s work rate. <\/p>\n

Children who will take the WISC-IV test need to do some things before the test. These include listening, being full and getting a good night’s sleep. Clothes that will be comfortable on the test day should be preferred. It is important to avoid words and behaviors that make the child anxious. It is better not to give the child any information about the test.<\/p>\n

It is not necessary to give the child any information about the test beforehand. Because the psychologist gives the child the most accurate information.<\/p>\n
